The name is Botes, Luca Botes!
I am quite the wikipedia, apparently. I have had a love for cars since even before I could walk with the love for bikes coming later on in life. European cars have always been a personal favourite with Alfa Romeo being one of the favourites. Born and raised in Cape Town, Killareny became a second home for much of my life. With my dad racing for the beginning part of my life and then watching the racing religiously in the second part, it was bound for me to be on the track eventually. Completing my first track day in 2018 and following that up with my first race in 2019, I am pushing myself consistently to try and follow in my dad’s footsteps by racing either a bike or car for a full season.
The love and dedication I have for two wheels and four wheels is out of this world and it is growing each and every single day. I would love to own a classic car, like a DB4 GT or a Alfa Romeo GT Junior, right up to the future of cars with the hybrid technology we are seeing every day.
I hope to one day be apart of motorsport in one way or another and hopefully through this blog and vlog system, my knowledge will grow and grow.
Goodwood Festival of Speed, Indy500, Le Mans 24hrs, Spa and Bathurst are all on the bucket lists and will one day be completed very soon.
